                 Dr. Benavides discussed the structure and medical care the SCHC  program provides for the indigent patients of Sonoma County and the residency training program for medical doctors. He received his Doctor of Education, Counseling and Educational Psychology from USF in 1986 and has a private practice in Santa Rosa with an emphasis on family, individual, and couple therapy. He is fluent in Spanish, is an Emergency Medical Technician and a Colonel (retired) in the Army National Guard.
