The Obama Administration has been heralded as a new transformative period in American politics, in part because of the man and in part because of the circumstances. Three months isn't much time, but it has become a traditional "first measure." What does it suggest? Dr. Merrifield is a professor of Political Science at Sonoma State University. He has taught a broad range of courses in his field including the American Presidency, Budgetary and Fiscal Politics, and modern political theory. He holds a B.A. in history from Oregon State Univ. an M.A. in History from Portland Univ. an M.A.in political science from Sonoma State Univ. and a Ph.D. in Political Science from U.C. Davis. Much of his research deals with the presidency. . |
