Rabbi George Gittleman |
The Hebrew Bible has been at the core of the Judeo-Christian Canon for the last 2,000 years and many aspects of our Western Civilization have evolved from its hallowed pages. Nevertheless, the Hebrew Bible in particular and Scripture in general, pose a number of challenges to the contemporary reader/worshiper as well. What is the philosophy behind our approach to Scripture? What lens does the contemporary reader need to read sacred texts in a way that is both relevant and meaningful in their life?
